Description
“The light in the night. The harvest moon. The summer sky. Wild and Holy. That’s Lillie.
There’s a heaviness we often carry. In most ways, a gift, to see things differently. To feel all the other parts.”

ODE TO ALL THE PARTS, SEEN AND UNSEEN.
Poetry is the act of uncovering and the art of observation. If you take a look at any of the great poets who have lived and died and even still live today, their words bring to life that which surrounds us, the quiet unseen moments of each day. The feelings that stir in each one of us. Poetry makes aware that which makes us human, the depth of our emotions and the impermanence of every moment we live.
Poetry is not an answer to the questions of life but it is an honest grappling of age old questions that each one of us carry within us. Poetry is the quiet of each morning that reminds us that we play a part in a story much more grand than we could imagine or ever write for ourselves.
“Lillie Duncan has a natural way of capturing small moments and stretching them into beautifully poetic contemplative prose and poetry. Her work is a place where wonder and knowing intertwine and soft innocence and fierce wisdom dance in fluid harmony. Something like a dream, a safe harbor and wildfire of blazing truth all combined.”
